Vibrant kitenge fabric inspires our entire collection. Each item in our store is handmade by women in the Jinja, Uganda community or by partner ministries that empower vulnerable, local people. We train them to make our crafts for free. Then, purchase these goods directly to resell in our USA store. All of the items listed are ready to ship from the contiguous United States.
CWI Craft Studio USA is an extension of the Compassionate Women Initiative in Uganda. One of our sustainable projects, the craft studio allows us to train and empower women, men, and youth that we serve. We use the profits to support CWI ministry projects — with the hope that we will not need outside funding sources in the future.

This holiday season, we’ve launched a collection for CWI’s”Kusasira Christmas”. Kusasira means “compassion” — capturing the meaning of our ministry and embodying the true spirit of Christmas.
